[Steven Universe] SEASONAL REVIEW - Season 4
Oh my god let's talk about season 4 of Steven Universe.
Season 4 contains 25 episodes (24 titles), spanning "Kindergarten Kid" to "I Am My Mom".
And I will just say right off the bat, that I really feel this is the season the show started to decline.
-----------------------------------------
The Story and Themes
At first, it seems like this season will follow the same pattern as 1B, 2 and 3. Low stakes at the start which start to rise around a third of the way through the season, reaching really high in the final few episodes.
Right off the bat, we have some episodes that try to follow up from the horrific run of episodes that rounded ou

[Steven Universe] SEASONAL REVIEW - Season 3
Season 3 of Steven Universe was definitely an interesting one. In that pretty much the entire god-damned season dropped all at once.
This season contains 25 episodes (24 separate titles) - spanning "Super Watermelon Island" through "Bubbled".
-----------------------------------
The Story and Themes
This season can be divided into three legs. The first is the tail end of the Peridemption/Barn Arc, which comprised the third act of season 2 as well. Then we have a run of episodic adventures - like the early days. And finally, Amethyst and Jasper get an intertwined story arc in the final leg of the season.

[Steven Universe] SEASONAL REVIEW - Season 2
Ah, season 2. The season where I jumped on the bandwagon, and is to me one of the most special seasons. I will try my best to be as unbiased as possible with this season, because this really is the season I have the most nostalgia for. As these were the first new episodes I saw, airing around a very overwhelming and huge change in my life, they were TRULY special.
So I will do this review like I did my season 1B review: I will talk about the themes, and then my personal opinions.
Season 2 has 26 episodes, spanning "Full Disclosure" to "Log Date 7 15 2".

[Steven Universe] SEASONAL REVIEW - Season 1B
Hello and welcome back to my new series, where I am giving each season of Steven Universe a review and analysis! I will do this review a bit different to my 1A review, and break this one (and the later ones) up into sections.
First, I will talk about the story and themes of the season and analyse some individual episodes, and how well these were executed. I will then give my personal thoughts on the season as a whole, again giving some attention to specific episodes.
Season 1B of Steven Universe contains 26 episodes and spans "House Guest" through "Jail Break".

[Steven Universe] SEASONAL REVIEW - Season 1A
With Steven Universe in its final week of being a "currently on the air" show, before the final chapter is dropped, and the final page has been written, I would like to take this week to reflect and reminisce on this wonderful show. I've posted the story of my 5 years as a Steven Universe fan already, which spanned from me finding out about the show, giving it a watch, falling in love with it, and all my fondest memories of the show, and finally my enthusiasm with the show waning with spikes of hype here and there in the later seasons.
And now, with the show at 99% complete, I thought I'd take this moment to look back on each season individu

My 5 years as a Steven Universe Fan.
Things are tough at the moment, and in some ways seem a little Hollywood. As if the killer virus taking over the world wasn't bad enough, another cold hard truth is that Steven Universe is essentially over. As I type this, in isolation from COVID trying to remember a time before COVID, there remain just 4 episodes of Steven Universe to air before the show ends. This show has been a huge part of my life for many years. I first discovered this show back in the summer of 2015, just a month before I turned 18 and moved out for university. I never really watched that many TV shows, let alone kid's cartoons. All the people my age were watching and obsessing over Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, Black Mirror, and most of all, pornhub. Nobody my age was still watching SpongeBob SquarePants. But hey I was always, and always will be, a bit of a misfit. It was the YouTuber PieGuyRulz who brought my attention to Steven Universe. I'd heard of the show, seen a couple of images from the show, and

I actually can't sit through this one. Not only is it insufferably annoying, it completely breaks the entire show and in my mind is non-canon.
153 - Room for Ruby (S4E20)
Lazy, sloppy and downright incompetent writing from start to finish. This episode is utter garbage, and is one of the prime examples of a truly BAD episode of television.

The single most lacklustre episode of the show that is just frustrating and a waste of an episode.

Hey guys and gals and everything inbetween...
This is my first post in a very very very very long time. I know, I said I was going to review "Change Your Mind" this summer. It's now October. So all four of you still following my reviews are probably wondering "WHERE THE FUCK IS THE REVIEW???"
Well, I did start writing it out... then... I just kinda stopped and never picked it up again. I never had the motivation to pick it up again. As the summer waned and the promised review was still unwritten, I realised I just did not care about Steven Universe anymore. At least, I did not care enough to write a massive review on its finale.
